Lorna Croft is Elsie. Her extensive range of qualifications, diverse experience and depth of knowledge ensure superior proofreading, editing and writing skills to the highest standard.
Lorna’s academic qualifications in Psychology, English and Education support Diplomas in Writing, Editing and Proofreading, as well as Certificates in Teaching English as a Second Language, Technical Communication, and Web Design and Writing.
Lorna’s enjoyed a varied employment history, working in both public and private sectors of business in New Zealand and overseas. She’s gained valuable experience writing a broad range of professional communications and creating clear, concise documents that are easily read and understood. While teaching overseas, she discovered nothing better improves skills in grammar than having to explain the complexities of English to speakers of another language.
Lorna has edited and proofread several technical and business documents, a newsletter, and website content for local community organisations. In addition, she was part of the editorial team of a newsletter for Romance Writers of New Zealand (RWNZ); she is a member of RWNZ Nelson. Also, she is a member of New Zealand Society of Authors (NZSA) and the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd.) in Australia.
Lorna loves learning and can often be found surfing the Internet for interesting short courses to expand her skills and knowledge.
In her spare time Lorna is an avid reader and writer of fiction.
